Section 2.4 Notes

Notes are created using the <n> tag with a pitch class, @pc. Optional attributes include accidentals, @acc, and octaves, @octave. Please note, accidentals precede numeric pitch classes.

For example, <n pc="C" acc="sharp" octave="4"/> results in \(\text{C}^♯_{4}\) while <n pc="5" acc="flat"/> results in \({}^♭5\).

Example 2.4.1. Alphabetic Pitch Classes.

The alphabetic pitch classes are
